Birch Creek Ranch

Description

This beautiful northeastern Oregon ranch offers everything from vast views of the Wallowa Mountains to hunting deer and elk and exceptional summer grazing for cattle. The Birch Creek Ranch consists of 1,892± deeded acres and is located south of the town of Pilot Rock, Oregon. This ranch has traditionally been grazed for cattle in the summer months and is ideal for grazing with an abundance of water and grass. A topography mix of south slope and north slope timber offers an exceptional balance of grasses for optimal cattle conditions.

The ranch is located on the headwaters of Birch Creek, a year-round stream that has runs of summer steelhead. Birch Creek runs through the property, and there are many ponds, springs, and seasonal streams located throughout. It is prime mule deer, white-tailed deer, and elk habitat and is eligible for three landowner preference (LOP) tags for elk and all species of deer. This ranch traditionally has a winter range for wildlife as well.

This ranch is home to traditional hunting of wildlife and gathering of roots for the local Native American tribes. The land falls within the boundaries of the Umatilla Indian Reservation.

Located on the ranch is a cozy 1,192 square foot recently remodeled off-grid cabin. Right out the cabin’s front door are beautiful views of the Wallowa Mountains and hilltop views in all directions. Abundant wildlife populations inhabit the ranch and are often seen from the cabin. This ranch has it all and is a perfect recreational ranch and an income-producing property.
